The US Federal Communications Commission just voted to end Obama-area net neutrality rules. Critics of the repeal protested outside of the commission during the vote, holding signs in defense of the internet as we know it. The existing 2015 rules will, meanwhile, remain in place until the new rules are cleared by the Office of Management and Budget, a process that can take several months.
